Psychotherapy

What kind of therapist am I?

My work is guided by solution-focused and cognitive psychotherapy frameworks. As a therapist, the most important thing to me is genuinely listening to and meeting the client. Every person’s life situation and background are unique, and it is essential to me that the client feels truly heard and understood. I do not impose solutions; instead, we reflect together on what has worked in the client’s life and what has not. In life’s dead ends, a new perspective—even simple things—can bring about significant change. The therapeutic atmosphere should be respectful, relaxed, and confidential. Both the therapist and the client share the same goal: to help the client move their life in a better direction.

What happens in my sessions?

Solution-focused and cognitive psychotherapy are research-based and effective ways to treat most mental health difficulties. They also provide support in challenging life situations. These approaches are suitable, for example, for addressing burnout, working through difficult relationships, and treating depression and anxiety. We discuss the issues that matter most to the client in a way that feels meaningful to them. Together, with a sense of curious exploration, we examine past influences in the client’s life and the direction in which the client hopes things will change. We explore the connections between the client’s emotions, thoughts, and behavior, and aim to identify clearly understandable, recurring patterns that we can influence. According to the client’s wishes, we may also use various exercises if they feel timely and appropriate. Therapy can also be conducted entirely via video connection.
